Benedictine Foundation of Oregon
The Benedictine Foundation of Oregon was established in 1980 to ensure the future of the Benedictine Sisters of Mt. Angel and the Sisters' ministries. Through a comprehensive development and public relations program, the Foundation works to increase public awareness of and support for the Sisters and their good works. The Benedictine Foundation of Oregon is a non-profit organization exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code. All donations to the Benedictine Foundation and the Benedictine Sisters of Mt. Angel are tax-deductible.
Unrestricted gifts and Century Club donations to the Benedictine Foundation of Oregon are used to support the Sisters' monastic community and the operation of Queen of Angels Monastery. Gifts to the Foundation for the Sisters' Retirement Fund are used for the care and support of senior and infirm Sisters at Queen of Angels Monastery. Gifts to the Vocation Fund are used to support outreach for new members and for the education of members in Formation.
The Benedictine Foundation also raises funds for the Sisters' major ministries, Shalom Prayer Center and St. Joseph Shelter. These vital programs serve hundreds of people each year and depend largely on gifts, grants and donations to ensure their continuation.
