Exploring Your Calling

Shalom Prayer Center will offer a retreat workshop, Exploring Your Calling, Enriching Your Career: A Strengths-Based Approach, on Saturday, February 11, 2012. Today's turbulent work environment stresses the need for passionate exploration of spirituality as it applies to purposeful calling and career enrichment. This workshop is based upon positive exercises to identify personal strengths and interests, and will help participants identify, "What is right for me?" and "Where am I willing to be led?," not only in the current work environment but also in retirement.

The presenter, James D. Henry, MDiv, has more than 35 years experience in Christian ministry, career and organizational development, and management training.

The workshop runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $45. Lunch is available to participants for an additional fee. Please register by February 9. Early registration special fee is $30 for those registering by January 26.

Aging with Grace in a Universe of Wonder

Shalom Prayer Center will offer a retreat workshop, Aging with Grace in a Universe of Wonder, on Friday, February 10, 2012. This workshop will build upon Journey of the Universe, a PBS video which premiered in December 2011, and describes resources available to enhance quality of life, purpose and joy in what may be the metaphor of the 21st Century. The presenter, James D. Henry, MDiv, has more than 35 years experience in Christian ministry, career and organizational development, and management training.

The workshop runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $45. Lunch is available to participants for an additional fee. Please register by February 8.
